It is with regret we announce that Dr David
Carnegie, former Chairman of Trustees at St Michael's and a teacher for many
years at the school has passed away on Friday 29th May 2009.
David's brother, John Carnegie former Headmaster of St Michael's has written the following poem as a tribute to David.
Your spirit lingers in my breast
Upon this day of holy rest,
And calls to memory all the best
In David, friend and brother.
In your calm and kindly life
Great faith you showed amidst the strife,
Until the Jordan came in sight
And bore you Home in Heavenly Light.
Upon this day of Pentecost
We know that hope is never lost,
For in your life of kindly love
The spirit shone from Heaven above.
St Michael's School send their
deepest condolences to the Carnegie Family
